Europe: Ukraine Peace Plan Will Not Recognize Russian Occupation

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency adn Al jazeera, CNN reported, referencing a European diplomat, that any agreement related to Ukraine cannot include recognition of Russia’s occupation.
The diplomatic source emphasized that the right to choose alliances should not be compromised nor should ther be limits imposed on the capabilities of Ukrainian forces.
Other European diplomatic sources added that the Chief of staff of the President of the European Commission will represent the EU in upcoming talks in Geneva regarding Ukraine.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed today, Saturday, the composition of his negotiating team for discussing the U.S. proposed peace plan.
By decree, he approved a delegation tasked with participating in negotiations over America’s 28-point proposal aimed at resolving Ukraine’s situation.
Zelensky himself will chair this delegation led by his Chief of Staff Andriy Yermak.
A reporter from Axios previously reported that a draft U.S.peace plan defines conditions for a ceasefire and offers security guarantees based on Article 5 of NATO’s treaty.
The implementation period for this proposal is set for 10 years.Under its framework, any widespread or repeated deliberate aggression by Russia would be considered a threat to peace.
Additionally, NATO members must coordinate any response with the United States.
Earlier reports from Ukrainian sources indicated they had obtained America’s 28-point peace plan aimed at establishing a ceasefire in their country.
