Al-Qamati: We Will Defend Lebanon; Weapons Delivery Will Lead to Destruction
The Deputy Chairman of Hezbollah’s Political Council told Al Jazeera that the escalating tension caused by Israel has become intolerable, and they are awaiting the official position of the Lebanese government.
He added that Israel aims to disarm Hezbollah in order to occupy Lebanon, similar to its current actions in Syria.
The deputy chairman emphasized that Israel wants to turn the Lebanese army into an operative tool under the control of Tel Aviv and Washington.
he stressed: “We will defend Lebanon and will not engage in any internal civil war. Handing over weapons will only lead to destruction, displacement, and occupation.”
Earlier today, Israeli forces launched a brutal attack on beirut’s Dahieh district. Israeli media claimed responsibility for assassinating Haytham Ali Tabatabai, a senior Hezbollah commander.
