Rubio: Good Progress Made in Ukraine Negotiations

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Sputnik, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that good progress was achieved at the Geneva talks on Ukraine.
He added, “Several issues are currently being addressed in Geneva negotiations, and today’s discussions were very constructive.”
Representatives from the United States, Ukraine, and its European allies convened in Geneva on Sunday, November 23, 2025, for further talks regarding former U.S. President donald Trump’s 28-point plan to end the war in Ukraine.
The plan recently presented by Trump requires Ukraine to cede part of its territory and reduce its military forces. Additionally, it demands that Ukraine abandon any aspirations to join NATO.
The U.S.delegation is led by secretary of State Marco Rubio and Steve Whitkoff, Trump’s special envoy. They met with senior Ukrainian officials including Andriy Yermak, Chief of Staff to President Zelenskyy, and Rustem Umurov, Secretary of the country’s National Security Council.
