Hezbollah releases the biography of its martyred commander who was killed in an Israeli attack on southern Beirut’s Dahieh.
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, Hezbollah has published the biography of its martyred commander, Haitham ali Tabatabai, who was assassinated today by Israeli occupiers in Beirut.
Place and date of birth: Nabatieh – November 5, 1968
- Joined the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon and completed multiple military and ideological courses.
- Participated in numerous military operations, especially field missions against Israeli occupation forces, playing a prominent role in liberating southern Lebanon in 2000.
- Among the first members of the Islamic resistance active from 1993 to 1996 on various battlefronts confronting zionist enemy forces.
- From 1996 until the liberation in 2000, served as a leading field commander involved in planning and leading various operations within the resistance.
- After the July War (33-day war) in 2006, took on more critically important responsibilities within Hezbollah’s overall command structure.
- Following 2008, alongside other senior commanders and fighters, undertook missions outside Lebanon to counter expanding threats from Takfiri groups.
- A founding figure behind specialized Islamic resistance units focused on planning, training, and command; played strategic roles across many battles.
- remained actively engaged throughout his resistance career and participated in multiple regional operations until 2024 while commanding key operational forces within Hezbollah’s ranks.
- Martyred Haitham Ali Tabatabai was among principal influential commanders fighting along the “Axis of Resistance” against terrorist groups and the Israeli occupation regime.
Ultimately, on November 23, 2025, during an Israeli air strike targeting Dahieh-southern Beirut-he was killed while undertaking a field mission wiht several comrades.
