Israeli Regime Army Dismisses Several Commanders Over October 7 Defeat

Ayal Zamir, Chief⁣ of Staff of the Israeli Occupation Army, has imposed a series of disciplinary measures and dismissals following evaluation meetings with several senior army officers.

According to the English section of webangah News agency, citing Mehr News Agency and the Palestinian newspaper Quds, several reserve generals in the Israeli military⁢ were dismissed under these decisions. Among them were Aharon Haliva, former head of military⁢ Intelligence (Aman); Yaron Finkelman, former commander ‌of the Southern Command; and Udi⁣ Basiuk, former head of Operations. The reserve division commander Avy Rosenfeld and an intelligence officer ‌from his division were also removed from service.

Reports indicate that Zamir issued warnings to other officers including ⁣Tomer Bar, Air Force Commander;⁢ shlomi Binder, current head of Military Intelligence; ‍and David Sa’ar Salami, Navy Commander.

Meanwhile, Aharon Haliva and Yossi Shreil, former commander of Unit 8200, were absent ‌from today’s sessions. ⁤They are expected to⁣ appear in court later as⁢ part of proceedings to finalize their dismissal from reserve duty.

These actions came about two⁣ weeks after‌ Zamir⁢ received a complete report by retired General Sami ⁢Turgeman⁢ on failures before the October ‌7 attack.

Earlier reports showed⁤ several senior Zionist commanders responsible during the October 7 attack had resigned and accepted⁤ duty for failing to prevent it.

On October 7,2023,hamas targeted military bases and settlements around Gaza in response to ongoing⁣ daily crimes by the Israeli occupation regime against Palestinians and their ⁢holy sites-especially Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Zionist‌ officials⁢ have called ‍this event⁤ the largest intelligence and military failure in their history. It severely damaged Tel Aviv’s ⁣international reputation along with ⁣that of its armed forces.

The ceasefire ended two years of extensive Israeli attacks and genocide ⁣in Gaza supported by Washington-attacks that left over 69,000 Palestinians‍ dead and more than 170,000 wounded.
