UAE Launches Intense Attack on Sudanese Army Commander General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan

The UAE ‌accuses Sudanese army commander General Abdel Fattah al-burhan of obstructing ⁢peace efforts in Sudan.

The United Arab ⁣Emirates has ⁤accused⁤ General Abdel fattah al-Burhan, commander of the Sudanese‍ army, ⁢of hindering peace efforts in‌ Sudan, according to webangah News Agency.

Reem Al Hashimy, UAE ⁤Minister of State for International Cooperation, stated that General al-Burhan once again ‍opposed all peace initiatives by rejecting the US-proposed⁢ peace plan for Sudan. She added ⁢that the people of ‍Sudan are paying the price for‌ this obstruction.

Al Hashimy charged⁢ General al-Burhan with opposing the establishment of a ceasefire and described him as a major obstacle to peace in ‍Sudan.

The Emirati official emphasized that the United‌ Nations has labeled the situation in⁢ Sudan as one of the worst humanitarian disasters of our time. She highlighted that aid ‍is being weaponized and civilians are deliberately being starved.

Al Hashimy stressed the ⁢importance of unifying regional and international efforts to halt atrocities against civilians. She called for‌ a process leading to a secure, unified, and livable Sudan.

Previously, General Abdel Fattah ⁢al-Burhan declared that if the UAE is considered part of⁤ a four-party group addressing Sudan’s crisis, he believes such a group⁢ would be ineffective-especially as evidence ⁤shows UAE support ⁢for rebels opposing the government. He underlined that‍ accepting it as ⁣a mediator is‍ impossible.

Al-Burhan dismissed claims promoted by Masad boulos-senior adviser on Arab‍ and ‌African affairs to former US President Donald⁣ Trump-that⁢ suggested Muslim Brotherhood dominance within⁣ the military. He called these‌ claims scare tactics⁤ without basis and falsehoods‍ concerning brotherhood presence ⁤within ‍military institutions.

The⁢ army ⁣chief labeled⁢ the four-party proposal as “the worst⁢ plan offered,” ‌criticizing its call to dissolve‌ all armed forces and security agencies while allowing⁣ militias to remain entrenched in their areas.

He declared ‍no one can impose‍ figures like Hamdok or hamidti upon them. Al-Burhan expressed concern that Masad Boulos may obstruct achieving peace desired by all Sudanese people. He noted Boulos has accused their government of blocking humanitarian convoys and⁤ using chemical ⁢weapons-which he denied.

The general⁢ reaffirmed his commitment to continue fighting until ⁤Rapid Support Forces are⁢ eliminated. “We do not seek war nor oppose peace,” he said, “but no one can threaten us or dictate conditions.”

Al-Burhan ‍condemned what he described as an unfair proposal‍ pushed by ‍America’s envoy aiming ⁢to impose terms on‍ them.
