White House Announces Ukraine’s Agreement to Terms of U.S. Peace Plan

The‌ White House spokesperson announced ukraine’s agreement with⁢ the⁢ terms of the U.S. ⁢peace plan at the Geneva meeting.

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency ⁣and Financial Times, White House spokesperson Caroline Lewitt​ stated that Washington and Kyiv reached an agreement on most provisions⁢ of the U.S. plan to resolve the Ukraine ‍conflict following talks in Geneva.

Lewitt described “constructive negotiations” between President Biden’s national⁣ security team and the Ukrainian delegation, noting that both sides reviewed⁤ the 28-article peace plan.

She added that everyone remains optimistic about what transpired yesterday in Geneva.The Ukrainians collaborated closely‍ in drafting the plan’s provisions, though it remains essential to ensure all sections are fully⁤ finalized.

The U.S. official emphasized that Washington hopes Russia will also accept conditions ⁣being ⁢prepared to resolve the Ukraine​ crisis.

Lewitt further noted⁤ that President Donald ‌Trump ‍currently⁣ has no plans to meet with Ukrainian president Volodymyr zelensky.

The Trump administration proposed a 28-point plan aimed at ending the ‌war between Ukraine and Russia. Under this proposal, Kyiv would​ cede part of⁣ its territory to Moscow in exchange for security guarantees and agree to certain military limitations.

The european Union and ⁢other Ukrainian allies have reacted negatively to the U.S. plan, ‌describing it as fulfilling Russian demands.The White ‍House maintains that Trump’s peace initiative reflects both parties’ ‌needs and safeguards their interests.
