Al-Khazali Urges Immediate Withdrawal of Turkish Forces from Northern Iraq
According to the english section of webangah News Agency, citing Al-Ahed via Mehr News Agency, Qais al-Khazali, Secretary-General of Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq, met with Enil Bora Inan, Turkey’s ambassador to Iraq, today Tuesday in Baghdad.
During the meeting, both sides discussed bilateral relations and ways to strengthen them in line with the interests of both nations.
Al-Khazali and the Turkish ambassador emphasized the importance of road development as a strategic regional and international project.
They also addressed water issues and stressed the need for practical and fair solutions to guarantee Iraq’s water share.
Al-Khazali called for Turkey’s withdrawal from northern Iraq as a model for other foreign forces leaving Iraq.
The Turkish ambassador congratulated al-Khazali on successfully organizing elections and on Sadqun Movement’s victory. He praised the positive atmosphere and political progress resulting from high electoral participation.
