Pakistan Army Denies Attack on Afghanistan

Pakistan’s military spokesperson denied that Islamabad attacked ‌Afghanistan, calling kabul’s claims ‘baseless.’

According to the english section of webangah ⁢News Agency, citing Anadolu ⁤Agency via Mehr News ⁤Agency, Islamabad on Tuesday rejected claims made ‍by Afghanistan’s ⁢interim goverment that Pakistani airstrikes killed⁤ at least 10 people in eastern Afghanistan overnight.

Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesperson⁢ for the Afghan interim government, said Pakistan apparently targeted a ⁤civilian home in Gorbuz district of Khost province last night,‍ killing 10 individuals including children and a woman.

The Pakistani ​military denied the allegation.

Lieutenant ​General Ahmad Sharif Chaudhry, ‍Pakistan ‌Army spokesperson in rawalpindi, told reporters ​the Kabul accusations were “baseless.”

Chaudhry added: “Whenever Pakistan conducts an operation, it does so openly.”

He⁣ emphasized ⁣that “Islamabad’s war is against terrorists, not Afghans.”
