Pakistan Army Denies Attack on Afghanistan

According to the english section of webangah News Agency, citing Anadolu Agency via Mehr News Agency, Islamabad on Tuesday rejected claims made by Afghanistan’s interim goverment that Pakistani airstrikes killed at least 10 people in eastern Afghanistan overnight.
Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesperson for the Afghan interim government, said Pakistan apparently targeted a civilian home in Gorbuz district of Khost province last night, killing 10 individuals including children and a woman.
The Pakistani military denied the allegation.
Lieutenant General Ahmad Sharif Chaudhry, Pakistan Army spokesperson in rawalpindi, told reporters the Kabul accusations were “baseless.”
Chaudhry added: “Whenever Pakistan conducts an operation, it does so openly.”
He emphasized that “Islamabad’s war is against terrorists, not Afghans.”
