Trump Sends Congratulatory Message to Lebanon with Warning Tone
According to the English section of webangah News agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Ma’an, U.S. President Donald Trump sent a message to Lebanese President Michel Aoun on the occasion of Lebanon’s Independence Day. In the message, Trump claimed that Washington seeks to expand cooperation with Lebanon and build a better future for the country.
In a warning tone, he asserted that Lebanon stands at a historic crossroads and has an opportunity to chart a path toward economic prosperity.
This remark alludes to U.S. interference in Lebanon’s internal matters and ongoing pressure for Hezbollah’s disarmament.
While Washington pursues Hezbollah’s disarmament, Israeli regime attacks against Lebanon have not ceased since the official ceasefire took effect. Most recently, residential areas in southern Beirut’s Dahieh district were targeted.
