International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women Amid Martyrdom of 33,000 Palestinian Women

On the International Day for the Elimination of ‌Violence against Women, the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs ⁣emphasized that Israeli⁢ forces have⁢ killed 33,000 Palestinian women and girls during two years of genocide in Gaza.

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs declared on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women ‍that 33,000 women and girls have been martyred over the past ⁤two years in palestinian‌ territories as an⁣ inevitable result of Israeli assaults on Gaza. These actions⁤ represent some of the most severe forms of discrimination and oppression against women in ⁣the modern world, according to webangah News Agency.

The ministry’s statement highlighted that Israel initiated a genocide campaign in Gaza two years ago, which ended last month wiht a ceasefire. at the same time, Israeli attacks intensified in the occupied west Bank, resulting in tens of thousands of Palestinian deaths.

separately, Gaza’s government media office reported that throughout this ⁣period more than 12,500 women and over 20,000 children were killed by Tel Aviv’s forces-figures that form part of a total‍ death toll reaching 69,000.

Official Palestinian bodies also report that‍ Israeli attacks caused 1,080 Palestinians to be martyred in the West Bank during⁢ this time.

The Ministry added that ⁣systematic crimes committed by Israel include genocide; field executions; forced abductions; arbitrary arrests; torture;⁣ sexual violence; ⁣hunger tactics; and‌ intimidation targeting Palestinian women.

The statement further noted that Israeli assaults have deliberately struck health ⁢infrastructure-hospitals and specialized clinics serving women-especially‍ reproductive health services, mental health support ⁢centers, and protective facilities. These attacks deprived thousands of essential care access.

The ministry stressed Israel employs advanced surveillance tools such as artificial intelligence and electronic spying to target ‌and intimidate Palestinians-with a particular focus on women.

Furthermore, Palestine’s Foreign Ministry called for sustained international action⁤ to end Israel’s colonial occupation by implementing a two-state solution and ensuring Palestinians’ legitimate rights-including self-determination ‌and ‌right of return.

In July 2024, ⁣the International Court of Justice issued an advisory opinion ‌affirming Israel’s occupation as illegal and called for its immediate cessation without delay.

Previously, human rights organizations including Amnesty International criticized international failure to enforce ⁣UN resolutions or ICJ recommendations. They argue this neglect enables⁣ Israel’s disregard for international law while fostering its impunity from ⁤accountability.
