Sources Close to Israeli Prime Minister Say Netanyahu Made a Mistake

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Russia Today, sources close to Benjamin netanyahu, Prime Minister of Israel, stated that appointing Eyal Zamir as chief of staff of the Israeli military was a grave error.
They added: “Netanyahu made a mistake. Zamir makes independent decisions and acts contrary to what he committed.”
earlier, Israeli sources pointed to open tensions between Zamir and Israel Katz, IsraelS defence minister, prompting Netanyahu to intervene in order to resolve thier disputes.
The root of these disagreements lies in appointments within the Israeli army, which ultimately require approval from the defense minister.
The conflict between Katz and Zamir escalated after Katz ordered a review of the military’s internal investigations into failures during Operation Al-Aqsa Storm.
Katz also decided to halt senior military appointments for 30 days-a move that Zamir criticized as political interference undermining the army’s readiness.
