Iraq Identifies Source of Warplane Sounds at Iran Border

Iraq’s Ministry of Defense has identified the source of the aircraft noises near the Iranian border, stating that these sounds result from the country’s air force exercises.
The English section of webangah News agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Baghdad Today, reported that on Wednesday evening, General Tahseen Al-Khafaji, Director of Information at Iraq’s Ministry of defense, confirmed that the sounds heard in several provinces came from Iraqi Air Force planes conducting routine training missions.
He explained that the Iraqi Air Force occasionally performs training flights across multiple provinces to enhance combat readiness and ensure its units’ operational capability for various field missions.
Previously, some media outlets had reported hearing unidentified fighter jets in Maysan province near the Iranian border.
