Iraq Identifies Source of Warplane Sounds at Iran Border

Iraq’s Ministry of Defense has ⁢identified the source of the aircraft noises near the Iranian border, stating⁤ that these sounds result from the ‍country’s air force exercises.

The English​ section of webangah News agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Baghdad Today, reported that on Wednesday evening, ⁢General Tahseen Al-Khafaji, Director of Information at Iraq’s Ministry of defense, confirmed that the sounds ⁣heard in several‌ provinces​ came from Iraqi Air Force ⁤planes conducting routine training missions.

He explained that the Iraqi Air Force ⁢occasionally performs training flights across multiple provinces to enhance combat readiness and ensure its units’ operational capability ‌for various field missions.

Previously, some media outlets had reported hearing⁤ unidentified fighter jets in Maysan province near the⁤ Iranian⁣ border.
