Hamas: Zionist Crimes Against Hamas Fighters Are Clear Violation of Ceasefire

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and the Palestine Details center, the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) issued a statement last night condemning the brutal actions by the Israeli occupation forces pursuing, killing, and arresting fighters besieged in the tunnels of Rafah city. Hamas described these actions as clear violations of the Gaza ceasefire agreement and definitive evidence of ongoing efforts to undermine and destroy that agreement.
The statement said that over the past month, Hamas has conducted extensive efforts with various political leaders and mediators to resolve the situation for these fighters and enable their safe return home. The movement proposed specific ideas and mechanisms to address this issue while remaining in continuous contact with mediators and the U.S. government-as one of the ceasefire guarantors.
Though, Hamas added, Israel disrupted all these attempts by escalating killings, crimes, pursuit, and arrests. This undermines mediators’ efforts who have worked hard with various international parties to end this suffering endured by these heroic fighters.
Emphasizing Israel’s full responsibility for its fighters’ lives, Hamas called on mediators to promptly pressure Israeli forces to allow their safe return home.
The movement described these fighters as unusual examples of sacrifice, heroism, patience-and symbols of dignity and freedom for the palestinian people.
