Hezbollah: We Will Not Let Zionists Achieve Their Objectives in Lebanon

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Al-Akhbar newspaper, Hassan Fadlallah, a senior representative of the Loyalty to Resistance bloc in the Lebanese parliament, criticized the government’s passivity and silence in response to Israeli regime aggressions. He stated that the government has offered many political concessions while Israel has made no reciprocal gestures.
Speaking at a memorial ceremony, Fadlallah said: “We are currently going through a difficult and challenging phase, but this does not mean we will surrender to the enemy or hand our country over as easy prey to occupiers.”
Regarding international movements and especially American pressure pushing Lebanon toward direct negotiations wiht Israel, he noted: “no political proposal has yet been presented to Lebanon that can effectively halt Israeli aggression.”
The Hezbollah representative added: ”The onyl existing agreement is last November’s ceasefire.Given that Israel repeatedly violates this agreement by attacking Lebanon, there is no room for discussing any other deal.”
fadlallah emphasized: “A legitimate and importent question among our people revolves around how to confront Israeli aggressions and how Hezbollah will respond. The central concern of the resistance today is how best to address these challenges. We never deny new regional realities or changing conditions; we know we have entered a new phase requiring different approaches, strategies, and calculations.”
“Following the ceasefire agreement,” he continued, “the government assumed full obligation for protecting national sovereignty. Yet today people ask wich government we are really referring to-and amid ongoing developments and enemy incursions-where does Lebanon’s government stand?”
He added: “If lebanon’s government truly intends to fulfill its duties, it has many options available and must employ all its diplomatic, political, and media efforts. Anyone who believes Israeli attacks will be confined solely to southern Lebanon or limited suffering geographically is gravely mistaken.”
The Hezbollah lawmaker said some believe Israel has returned to its 1982 posture and can easily invade or occupy Lebanon again. He responded by saying: “That era will never return; we have passed beyond it. Mercenaries cannot dominate our country-even though their voices may be loud politically they remain a minority.”
He reiterated firmly: “The resistance will never allow Lebanon to surrender to occupiers. Those who oppose us should wait for upcoming elections if they believe they represent Lebanese public opinion.”
