Four European Countries Urge Israeli Regime to Uphold the Law

The foreign ministers of Germany, Italy, France, and the united Kingdom called on Israel to respect international law and protect Palestinians in the occupied West bank.
In a joint statement from these four european countries-without any reference to their extensive military and political backing of Israeli crimes across the middle East-they welcomed former U.S. President Donald Trump’s opposition to West Bank annexation. They also reiterated their rejection of settlement expansion policies.
The British Foreign Secretary said: “Together with France, Germany, and Italy, we call on Israel to honor its obligations under international law.We strongly condemn the sharp rise in settler violence in the West Bank.”
This appeal comes at a time when these European nations have provided significant support for Israel’s aggressive actions. However, following an escalation of Israeli brutality-particularly in Gaza-they have felt compelled to reduce some backing and take measures against Tel Aviv.
