Tel Aviv Launches Heavy Attacks on Damascus Suburbs; Four Killed

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Syrian state television, an Israeli attack on the town of Beit Jin in rural Damascus killed four people.
A reporter from Syria’s Al-Ikhbariya network reported that Israeli troops entered Beit Jin and shelled surrounding areas with artillery fire.
The Syrian media also noted that Israeli army helicopters attacked the town and that clashes erupted between residents and an Israeli patrol.
Syrian television confirmed that four people were killed and several others wounded as a result of the Israeli incursions into the town.
Following initial operations, Israeli forces withdrew from Beit Jin and took positions on batl al-Wardeh hill at the outskirts of the area.
Before leaving, occupying forces detained three individuals in the town.
Syria’s state television later reported renewed attacks by Israeli army helicopters minutes ago.
Al-Ikhbariya stated that after an Israeli patrol was besieged upon entering Beit Jin, leading to confrontations with residents, helicopter strikes followed.
Al Jazeera highlighted extensive flights by Israeli helicopters over this area. Al Mayadeen reported clashes between Syrian youths and occupying forces within the town.
Meanwhile, Sputnik cited israeli media reporting two soldiers wounded in an ambush near Damascus’ outskirts.
The Syrian source also mentioned low-altitude helicopter flights over Quneitra countryside by Israel’s military aircrafts.
The Zionist occupiers continue their attacks on Syrian territory; these actions violate the 1974 Disengagement Agreement, international law, and UN resolutions. Syria condemns these assaults and urges the international community to take a firm stance to end them.
On Wednesday, November 18th, a spokesman for Israel’s cabinet announced that Benjamin Netanyahu visited troops stationed beyond the ceasefire line in Syria. He was accompanied by Foreign Minister gideon Sa’ar and defense Minister Yisrael Katz during this visit.
The Israeli military intensified its strikes against Syria’s infrastructure and military sites following Bashar al-Assad’s government collapse. In recent months alone, it has bombarded several military facilities across Syria multiple times.
Since Assad’s fall,Israel has crossed buffer zones separating occupied Golan from mainland Syria to further occupy areas near Golan within Daraa and Quneitra provinces.
