Bloomberg: Europe Excluded from Talks on U.S. Peace Plan

An international media outlet reported that Europe has been⁣ largely sidelined in negotiations over the U.S. peace plan to end the war in Ukraine.

According to the ⁢English section of webangah News Agency,citing Mehr News Agency,Bloomberg reported that ‍european countries have vrey limited participation in ⁣discussions surrounding the U.S. peace plan for Ukraine.⁤ Europeans do not have access to many details of the‌ negotiations.

The report states that Europe engages only through bilateral talks and ⁢when involvement ​is deemed “unavoidable,” such as discussions on security guarantees jointly with the‍ United States.

Alexander ​Grushko, Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia, previously ​stated that Moscow does‍ not recognize a role for the‍ European ⁤Union at the negotiation table on Ukraine. He said⁢ Brussels not only failed to halt petro Poroshenko’s military operations in Donbas but also fueled “the internal conflict created by his regime.”

recently, the U.S. government presented a 28-point plan aimed at resolving the Ukrainian crisis-a​ proposal met with anger from Kyiv and some European partners, who sought extensive revisions. On november 23, delegations from the‌ U.S. and Ukraine met in Geneva to discuss this plan. According to ⁤Ukrainian media reports, both sides agreed on most Washington proposals but left several points open for future consideration during a meeting between President Donald trump ⁢and President Volodymyr ⁢Zelensky-whose timing remains undecided.

On Tuesday, Trump announced‌ that a revised version of the plan had reduced its original 28 points down to 22.
