Airbus Recalls 6,000 A320 Jets Due to Technical Defect

airbus has issued⁤ a global recall of ​more than 6,000 A320 aircraft due to technical faults‌ in their control systems, causing ⁤widespread disruption at airports worldwide.

According to the English section of webangah news Agency, citing Al⁣ Jazeera ‌and ⁢Mehr News Agency,‍ Airbus warned that the flight control software on approximately ⁢6,000 A320 planes must ​be replaced. This announcement led many airlines around the world to suspend or cancel flights today.

Japan’s largest airline, ANA HoldingsK, reported ⁢canceling 65 flights following Airbus’s decision to recall‍ 6,000 A320 aircraft over these control‍ system defects.

Australia’s national carrier Jetstar ⁤also ⁢confirmed it was affected by the airbus A320 recall. A​ Jetstar spokesperson stated that the issue impacts all operators of the⁤ A320 family globally ​due to a ⁤software problem in their fleet.

The spokesperson added that some flights⁤ have been canceled ⁣as a precautionary measure‌ following‌ Airbus’s directive.

New Zealand airlines announced via its X (formerly Twitter) account that all its ‌A320 planes will⁤ receive software updates before their⁣ next ‍passenger flights. this process is expected to cause some disruptions and cancellations within its fleet.

French airlines canceled 35 flights on Friday ⁤amid this recall. Meanwhile,‌ Colombian ⁤carrier Avianca revealed that 70% ‌of its fleet is affected by this technical fault related​ to the European manufacturer’s software.

Korean ⁤Airlines reported it does not‌ anticipate major schedule disruptions since only 17 ⁣of its aircraft are involved in ⁤the recall.

This recall ‍affects more than half of the global Airbus A320 fleet-aircraft which form the backbone of⁢ short-haul air travel in Asia, particularly across⁢ China and India.
