Hezbollah Urges Pope to Condemn Zionist Crimes

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al-Manar, Hezbollah published a letter addressed to pope Leo XIV ahead of his visit to Lebanon.
The full text of Hezbollah’s letter to the Pope is as follows:
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Your Holiness Pope Leo XIV,
Leader of the Catholic Church worldwide,
Greetings and respect…
First, we express our utmost happiness and appreciation for your presence and visit to Lebanon. This gorgeous country has been blessed by God with a unique geographic position and vast religious diversity framed within coexistence and broad consensus that underpin its political stability and national security.
Your predecessor, Pope John Paul II, described Lebanon not merely as a country but as a message. The reality confirms that lebanon’s diverse structure serves as a civilizational bridge between followers of two divine religions-christianity and Islam-and adherents of various religious, cultural, and secular beliefs across countries and continents worldwide.
When humanity becomes central in all religions-and even ideological orientations-we can reasonably hope for achieving lasting peace and security.
Your guidance underscores serious commitment to human rights along with respect for them. This indicates that human rights extend beyond individual realms into broader national spheres.
The root cause behind current global conflicts lies in some parties refusing any commitment or recognition of others’ rights because they differ in religion, color, race, language or interests.
It is no secret that diminished respect for human rights among certain leaders-in governments, institutions, factions or states-strengthens greedy tendencies marked by domination-seeking behaviors based on force rather than justice.
The tragedy witnessed in Gaza over the past two years continues due to Zionist occupiers’ insistence on depriving Palestinians of their homeland rights-including self-determination. Moreover, the international community’s silence about applying standards of justice has obstructed sustainable solutions between rightful owners defending their land against occupiers in our region.
The suffering endured by Lebanese people stems from Israeli occupation over part of their territory accompanied by ongoing aggression threatening national security. This is driven by Israeli greed targeting Lebanese water resources, gases, and lands alongside attempts demanding submission under Tel Aviv’s expansionist political-security conditions without end or depth.
No doubt exists regarding Israel’s occupation receiving unlimited support from major powers intent on dominating our country & region without respecting local populations’ rights at any level.
The crimes perpetrated against Palestinians in Gaza amount to genocide; what Israel continues doing inside Lebanon constitutes continuous violations rejected globally by law & morality alike.
we at Hezbollah take this blessed occasion – your upcoming visit – To affirm our dedication toward shared coexistence , consensual democracy , safeguarding internal stability & security , upholding & protecting sovereignty , standing united beside army & citizens alike Against any aggressions or territorial occupations affecting our land .
We also reiterate adherence toward legitimate rejection concerning foreign interference aiming impose guardianships upon nation /people circumventing legal/political decisions sovereignly made .
Our belief emphasizes followers Jesus Christ serve messengers love defending human dignity/respect . Hence trusting Your Sacred Positions rejecting oppression/aggression exacted upon homeland (Lebanon) facing invaders (Zionists) supported indiscriminately .
This message accompanies Your Visit during which you shall express concern/affection/interactions with all Lebanese citizens ; wishing comfort/health throughout stay; praying Almighty assist oppressed globally through Justice Security Deliverance.
The leader currently present in Turkey will travel tomorrow Sunday forthwith into Lebanon.
