Caracas: Trump’s Remarks on Venezuela Are Hostile and Unilateral

Teh Caracas goverment has responded too⁤ hostile remarks by the U.S. president regarding ⁢Venezuela’s⁤ airspace, calling them aggressive and unilateral.

According to the ‍English section of webangah ‌News‌ Agency, citing​ Mehr News Agency, Al‌ Jazeera reported via Reuters that the Venezuelan government issued an official statement⁢ condemning comments made by U.S. President Donald Trump about its airspace as “hostile, unilateral, and arbitrary.”

The statement emphasized that Trump’s remarks reflect a “colonialist perspective” ‍toward Latin‍ America.

The Venezuelan ‍government also ⁣demanded full respect for its airspace and declared it woudl ⁣not​ accept any foreign orders or threats.

President Donald Trump announced​ that all airspace over and around Venezuela will be closed until further notice.

On‍ the social⁤ media platform Truth Social, trump justified this⁣ hostile⁢ move by asserting: “Airlines, drug traffickers, and human⁤ traffickers should consider Venezuelan airspace entirely closed!”

CNN: Maduro’s allies and the White ⁣House‌ are seeking a potential agreement with Washington

Simultaneously occurring, CNN cited several U.S. officials claiming that Maduro’s inner circle has explored possible ways to reach a deal between Washington and⁤ Caracas‍ with the White House.

Since September, U.S. forces have targeted‍ more‌ than​ 20 boats reportedly used for drug trafficking in the Caribbean Sea and eastern pacific Ocean, causing at least 83 deaths.

The United States ⁣has also​ deployed its largest aircraft carrier-the USS Gerald R. Ford-alongside destroyers and fighter‌ jets in the ​Caribbean as part of⁢ what ‍it officially calls an anti-narcotics operation.

Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro condemned this deployment as a threat aimed at toppling his government and seizing the country’s ‌oil reserves.

Trump has sent mixed signals about⁤ a possible invasion of Venezuela; he together authorized covert CIA operations in the country while reiterating that military intervention remains ⁤on the table.
