Russian Drone Attack Targets Areas Around Ukraine’s Capital

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Reuters, an unnamed Ukrainian official stated that Russia targeted areas around Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, with a drone attack.
The ukrainian official claimed that the strike near the capital resulted in one death and left 11 others injured.
Earlier on Saturday morning, the head of Kyiv’s military administration announced that Russian drones attacked two locations within the city, killing one person and injuring seven others.
On February 21, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin recognized the independence of the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics in the Donbas region.He made this declaration criticizing what he called Western disregard for Moscow’s security concerns.
Three days later,on February 24,2022,Putin launched a military operation against Ukraine-termed a “special operation”-escalating longstanding tensions between Moscow and Kyiv into full-scale war. This conflict continues to this day.
