Schumer: Trump Is Leading America Toward Another Costly War

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Al Jazeera, Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer emphasized ​that Trump’s reckless measures regarding Venezuela are pushing the United ⁣States closer to another costly foreign war.

He added, “Under our Constitution, only Congress has the power to declare war, not the president; Congress has not authorized military‍ force against Venezuela.”

Schumer stated, “Americans are tired of⁣ endless foreign wars that have cost ‌countless lives and depleted valuable resources. This is not ⁢an ‘America First’ policy.”

Earlier,The Wall Street Journal⁤ reported,based on informed sources,that President Donald Trump recently threatened Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro with the use of force during a phone call.

The ‍report said⁢ Trump ⁢conveyed aggressive and‍ interventionist ⁣positions toward ⁤Venezuela and warned Maduro that if he did not step down from⁤ power, force would ​be‌ used against him.

Trump also announced a closure of Venezuelan airspace.
