Benny Gantz: Netanyahu Is an Arsonist

Former Israeli Defense Minister and Blue and White Party⁣ Leader Responds to Benjamin Netanyahu’s Pardon Request.

According to ⁢teh English section of webangah News Agency, citing صوت القدس via Mehr News Agency, Benny Gantz, leader of the Blue and White party and former Israeli defense minister, responded to Benjamin Netanyahu’s request for a pardon.

Gantz stated that Netanyahu ⁣is fully aware that his pardon ⁢request-which does not ⁣follow Israel’s usual legal procedures-is entirely disingenuous. Its real purpose is to divert public attention from the military service exemption law he promotes at the expense of Israel’s youth.

Describing Netanyahu, Gantz said: “He is like a firefighter who sets fires only to than ask for ‌help in putting them out.”

He added: “Instead of fanning these flames, Netanyahu should extinguish the fire he ⁣has ignited across Israel. He must stop damaging democracy by heading to the ballot ‌boxes, then‌ confessing and seeking pardon.”

Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel’s prime minister, formally requested a pardon ‌from President Isaac Herzog regarding charges against him in ‌his ongoing trial.

In his letter to Herzog, Netanyahu neither admitted guilt nor apologized. Though, submitting this formal request can be⁢ interpreted as‌ an implicit acknowledgment ⁢of the accusations against him in ⁣court.

The president’s office described this petition as “remarkable,” noting that pardons are typically sought only after a final court ruling and ⁢admission of‍ wrongdoing.

netanyahu faces allegations alongside his family in multiple cases involving bribery, abuse of power, and⁤ corruption.

Last week, U.S. President Donald Trump wrote on social media that it was‍ time for Benjamin⁤ Netanyahu to be pardoned. Trump characterized the legal proceedings against Netanyahu as unfairly political.
