Hamas Spokesperson: Zionist Regime Delays Implementing Second Ceasefire Phase

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Al Jazeera, Hazem Qassem, the spokesperson for Hamas, stated that the continued search for the bodies of Israeli captives despite difficulties demonstrates their full commitment to the Gaza ceasefire agreement.
Qassem added that israel is delaying entering the second phase of the ceasefire agreement and fulfilling its obligations.
The Hamas spokesman emphasized that thay urge mediators to pressure the occupying regime to honor its commitments by reopening the Rafah crossing and moving toward implementing the second phase.
This senior Hamas official’s remarks come as the Israeli newspaper Haaretz reported, citing Palestinian and Arab sources, that negotiations in cairo over the second phase of Gaza’s ceasefire have reached a complete deadlock. Israel refuses to agree to withdraw from Gaza as required in this phase, while Hamas rejects relinquishing its weapons without clear guarantees.
