Hong Kong Fire Death Toll Rises to 146

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, the South China Morning Post reported that a Hong Kong police spokesperson confirmed the discovery of 18 more bodies at the fire site. This raises the death toll of this deadly incident to 146.
The fire broke out on Wednesday in the Wang Fuk Court residential complex, which consists of eight high-rise towers. While one building sustained minor damage,seven others were extensively engulfed by flames. The rapid spread was attributed to bamboo scaffolding installed for façade renovations.
The complex contains nearly 2,000 residential units and houses approximately 4,000 residents.
Local media have described this tragedy as Hong Kong’s deadliest residential building fire in history.
