Sudani Holds Talks with Trump Envoy
According to the English section of webangah News agency, citing Mehr News Agency and the official website of the Iraqi Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia’ Al Sudani hosted Tom Barrett, the US Special Envoy for Syria, in baghdad on Sunday.
The two sides explored practical measures to sustain Iraq’s support for stability, security, and prosperity while improving Syria’s economic conditions as part of efforts to strengthen stability and growth in Iraq.
Al Sudani and Barrett exchanged views on preventing any escalation of regional tensions. They also emphasized backing diplomatic processes aimed at resolving disputes and steering the region toward cooperation, economic growth, and long-term stability.
Barrett highlighted Iraq’s pivotal constructive role in achieving these shared objectives.
