Russian Forces Advance in Strategic Kharkiv Region
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Novosti, a informed source reported that the Russian army has advanced by destroying the remaining equipment and headquarters of Ukraine’s 57th Brigade in the forested area east of Vovchansk city in Kharkiv.
the report states that the Russian security service announced Ukrainian forces from this brigade withdrew from their positions after suffering heavy strikes. Several soldiers surrendered to Russian forces.
Vovchansk is one of the key defensive strongholds for Ukrainian troops in eastern Kharkiv. The Russian advance here disrupts Ukraine’s supply lines and poses notable logistical challenges.
Military analyst Andrei Marochko also noted that Ukrainian forces have nearly lost control of Vovchansk city.
