Kalas: Russia Rejects Peace; Ukraine Needs Drones and Ammunition

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, EU Foreign Policy Chief Kaya Kallas took an anti-Russian stance on Monday, claiming she does not believe Russia has a genuine desire to negotiate peace with Ukraine.
Kallas added that this week will be a decisive one for diplomacy aimed at resolving the Ukraine crisis. She highlighted that military aid to Ukraine has been increased. “Putin may not adhere to any long-term peace agreement with Ukraine,” she said.
Kallas further stated, “Our assistance to Kyiv exceeds €187 billion.Russia must compensate for the damages caused in Ukraine by using its frozen assets. Ukraine needs drones and ammunition. We will support Ukraine in defending itself, and Russia will not be able to resist us.” She emphasized that Russia currently shows no interest in peace and must be pressured into negotiations.
Simultaneously occurring, Dmitry Peskov, spokesperson for the Kremlin, told reporters earlier that President Putin’s meeting with Vitkoff is scheduled for Tuesday afternoon. On Monday, Putin held several internal meetings as part of preparations for talks with the United States.
