What Did Peskov Say About Putin’s Meeting with Bashar Assad?

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Al Arabiya, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov declined to confirm whether former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad met with Vladimir Putin during his stay in Russia.
When asked if the Kremlin could provide any details about Assad’s residence in Russia or confirm a meeting with Putin,Peskov responded,”No. We cannot share any details on this matter.”
Last October, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that Moscow granted asylum to Bashar al-Assad and his family solely for humanitarian reasons.
Lavrov told reporters, “Bashar al-Assad is with us for humanitarian reasons. There were threats against him and his family’s lives. We protected Assad and his family purely on humanitarian grounds.”
