Al Mayadeen network, citing its⁣ sources, confirmed that ⁣rumors about‌ a U.S.⁣ warning to Iraq regarding Israeli attacks on resistance ⁢groups if allied with Hezbollah are⁣ false.

According to the⁣ English section of ⁢ webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, Al Mayadeen reported ‌that Iraqi sources denied claims circulating ⁣in some media outlets about a warning message from Tom Barrett, the U.S. ‍Special Envoy for Syria, to⁢ Baghdad regarding potential Israeli attacks if Iraq sides with Hezbollah.

political sources told Al Mayadeen that the meeting between⁢ Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani adn Barrett ⁣focused on developments in Syria.

The sources added that⁤ Barrett conveyed America’s desire for Iraq ⁢to concentrate ‍on its role in ⁢strengthening stability in ⁣Syria and continue its constructive involvement in‌ the region.

They emphasized there ‍was no indication that Barrett delivered any threats concerning Israeli ⁣military action against⁢ Hezbollah to al-Sudani.

It is indeed noteworthy that Iraq’s Prime Minister Office announced last night that al-Sudani hosted⁢ Barrett ‍in Baghdad on Sunday.

The report states both‍ sides discussed practical ways for iraq to maintain support for stability, security, economic prosperity, and improving ‍conditions in Syria as part ‌of reinforcing regional stability and growth benefiting Iraq ‌as well.

Al-Sudani and Barrett exchanged views on preventing further escalation of tensions ⁣in the ‍region⁣ and supporting ⁢diplomatic efforts aimed at resolving disputes while steering the region toward cooperation, economic development, and long-term stability.
