Trump Envoys Travel to Qatar
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Ma’an, an Israeli source speaking to the hebrew site Walla emphasized that Steve Witkoff and Jared kushner, envoys of former President Trump, are scheduled to travel to Qatar in the coming days. Their mission is to negotiate the second phase of a Gaza ceasefire.
The source added that these discussions will take place with representatives from mediation countries.
Meanwhile, Israel has expressed opposition to initiating the second phase of the agreement before Hamas is disarmed. in the initial ceasefire stage, Tel Aviv did not fully comply with its terms and continued attacks against Gaza.
The source noted that with elections approaching in the occupied territories, there is no option but to pressure Prime Minister Netanyahu into moving toward this next phase.
