Egypt Rejects Israeli Regime’s Proposal on Gaza

According to the English section of webangah News agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al-Akhbar, Egyptian sources announced that the meeting between Hassan Rashad, head of Egypt’s intelligence service, and David Zini, chief of the Israeli Shin Bet security agency, in Cairo was inconclusive. The Egyptian side rejected Tel Aviv’s proposal to exclusively reconstruct areas under Israeli occupation in southern Gaza while abandoning other regions.
Rashad emphasized that Egypt remains committed to the agreements reached at the Sharm El-Sheikh summit.Cairo also expressed concerns regarding international forces that the United states intends to deploy in Gaza.
He further warned that without firm guarantees to halt aerial assaults from Tel Aviv, efforts will continue to face obstacles-especially as many countries remain hesitant about deploying troops to Gaza.
