EU Official Warns of Potential Pressure on Ukraine in Putin-Trump Envoy Talks
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a high-ranking European Union foreign policy official, a staunch supporter of continued engagement in Ukraine, cautioned that negotiations between Putin and a representative of Trump could place Ukraine under pressure to concede ground.
The EU official stated that to achieve lasting peace, it is crucial not to lose sight of the fact that Russia initiated and continues to drive the conflict. According to her, Moscow is deliberately targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure daily to inflict maximum damage.
Russian sources previously reported that Steve Witkoff, an envoy representing Donald Trump, had arrived in Moscow for discussions with Putin aimed at resolving the conflict in Ukraine.
