A U.S. delegation led by Special Representative Steve Vitkov met with Russian President Vladimir Putin for five hours, concluding discussions amid ongoing efforts to address the crisis in Ukraine. The meeting follows prior discussions with Ukrainian officials in Florida.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a meeting between a U.S. delegation headed by Special Representative Steve Vitkov and Russian President Vladimir Putin concluded after five hours. The discussions took place amidst ongoing efforts to address the crisis in Ukraine.

Prior to the meeting with Putin, the American delegation met with Ukrainian officials in Florida. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio characterized the discussions as productive, while emphasizing that further work remains to be done.

U.S. President Donald Trump unveiled a 28-point plan several weeks ago aimed at resolving the Ukrainian crisis. Since then, the proposal has spurred extensive discussions among European and American officials.

A contentious element of the plan involves the potential transfer of portions of Ukraine to Russia, sparking considerable debate and concern.
