Saudi Arabia Approves 2026 Budget with $44 Billion Deficit

Saudi Arabia’s budget for 2026 has been approved with a deficit of 165 billion riyals, equivalent to $44 billion. The budget focuses on industry, logistics, and increasing non-oil revenues.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Saudi Arabia’s 2026 budget was approved on Tuesday with a deficit of 165 billion riyals, or $44 billion. The new budget emphasizes the development of industry, logistical services, and the expansion of non-oil revenue streams.

The Saudi Ministry of Finance has projected that the country’s total debt will reach approximately 1.5 trillion riyals (about $400 billion) by the end of the year, representing about 31.7% of the gross domestic product. This figure is up from 1.2 trillion riyals (approximately $320 billion) in 2024.
