Boeing 777 Makes Emergency Landing in Russia After Engine Fire; All 425 Aboard Safe

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a passenger plane bound for Phuket, Thailand, from Moscow was forced to make an emergency landing at Domodedovo Airport in Moscow due to an engine fire.
News sources indicate the Red Wings airline flight returned to Domodedovo Airport shortly after takeoff due to the fire in one of its engines.
Russian emergency services told RIA Novosti news agency that the fire had been contained.
Red Wings airline released a statement saying that during flight WZ-3097, operated by a Boeing 777-200, the crew noticed fluctuations in the performance indicators of one of the engines. The crew made the correct decision to return to the departure airport in a timely manner.
Reportedly, the aircraft departed the airport at 21:19 Moscow time, and the engine fire occurred around 21:23.
The aircraft was carrying 13 crew members and 412 passengers, all of whom disembarked safely.
