According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Israeli drone strikes have reportedly killed five Palestinians, including two children, in Khan Yunis. Gaza’s Kuwait Specialized Hospital reported the deaths following the bombing of tents housing displaced people in the Al-Mawasi area.
An Al Jazeera correspondent reported that Israeli drones conducted four airstrikes west of Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip, resulting in multiple injuries to Palestinians.
Overnight, Israeli tanks and quadcopter drones allegedly opened fire on Palestinian positions near the Shuja’iyya intersection in eastern Gaza City. Artillery shelling of eastern Gaza City was also reported.
Helicopters belonging to the Israeli occupation forces also fired towards eastern areas of Gaza City overnight. Israeli military vehicles reportedly fired toward the northern part of Rafah, located in the southern Gaza Strip. Israeli military forces continued explosive operations and the destruction of buildings in eastern Gaza City.
An Israeli media agency claimed that four Israeli soldiers from the Golani Brigade and the Gaza Division were wounded in Rafah during an exchange of fire between resistance forces and Israeli elements. One of the soldiers sustained severe injuries.
The Israeli army stated that the injuries to its soldiers from the Golani Brigade and Gaza Division occurred during clashes with armed individuals who emerged from a tunnel in eastern Rafah.
Israeli army radio, citing an unnamed source, claimed that Israeli soldiers killed two members of the resistance. The source further alleged that a third individual returned to the tunnel after planting a bomb on an armored vehicle.
