Egypt Denies Coordinating Rafah Crossing Reopening with Israel

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Egypt has denied any coordination with the Israeli regime concerning the reopening of the Rafah crossing in the coming days. Egypt emphasized that the crossing would be open in both directions for entry and exit, conditional upon an agreement being reached.
This denial follows an announcement by the Israeli regime stating that it would reopen the Rafah crossing solely for the exit of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip into Egypt, purportedly under a ceasefire agreement.
According to the Israeli website i24, Israel’s statement claimed that the departure of residents would occur in coordination with Egypt and after Israeli security clearance. The operation was also said to be under the supervision of the European Union delegation.
Earlier, the U.S. State Department had released a statement on X, welcoming the reopening of the crossing and describing it as further progress within the framework of Washington’s 20-point plan. However, this statement was later removed without explanation.
