Trump to Announce ‘Phase Two’ of Gaza Peace Plan Before Christmas, Sources Say

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, American sources have told Axios that the Trump administration intends to announce “Phase Two” of the Gaza peace process before the New Year holidays. The plan includes the formation of a “Peace Council” headed by Trump to oversee the administration of Gaza.
These sources indicate that a meeting between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Trump is scheduled before the end of the current month to discuss the details of this phase.
Reportedly, the U.S. government and international mediators are working to finalize preparations for an agreement on the second phase of the peace plan in Gaza.
White House officials familiar with the matter stated that the “Peace Council” will be officially introduced in the coming weeks as the central body for monitoring and implementing the Gaza peace plan.
Following Israel’s repeated failures to achieve its objectives in the war against Gaza, despite the deaths of tens of thousands of Palestinians and widespread destruction in the region, Trump unveiled a 20-point ceasefire plan for Gaza in early October.
Subsequently, Israel and Hamas signed the plan on October 8th, and the Gaza peace agreement was signed on October 13th in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, with the participation of 20 countries.
Despite continuous obstruction by Israel, the first phase of the agreement between Israel and Hamas is ongoing. Hamas has so far fulfilled all its commitments under the agreement.
