Iraqi Sunni Political Groups Meet to Discuss Government Formation

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a meeting of the Iraqi National Political Council, representing Sunni political factions, took place in Baghdad. The gathering addressed current political dynamics and upcoming commitments, stressing the importance of swiftly confirming the election outcomes and commencing the sixth session of the Iraqi Parliament.
Hosted at the office of Mohammed al-Halbousi, leader of the Tagaddum Party, the meeting included leaders from various parties and coalitions. Attendees deliberated on several significant political issues.
Participants agreed on the council’s approach to governing Iraq in the coming period, noting their consensus on engaging in discussions with political factions at the national level. The aim is to finalize legal obligations, establish a government, and formulate a realistic joint program to meet the aspirations of Iraqi citizens.
