Erdoğan and Maduro Discuss Regional Developments, US-Venezuela Tensions

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke with Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro by phone on Saturday, focusing on regional issues and escalating tensions between the U.S. and Venezuela.
During the call, Erdoğan told Maduro that Ankara is closely monitoring regional developments and believes that problems should be resolved through dialogue.
Erdoğan emphasized the importance of keeping communication channels open between the United States and Venezuela. He expressed hope that tensions between the two countries would de-escalate soon.
Tensions between the United States and Venezuela have reached unprecedented levels in recent weeks.
The United States, claiming to combat drug trafficking, is seeking to undermine popular resistance in Venezuela. This crisis, involving military threats, intelligence operations, economic pressures, and complex diplomacy, has caused widespread concern in the Caribbean and Latin America.
Reports indicate that U.S. President Donald Trump is considering various options, from direct threats to negotiations, to pressure the Maduro government.
