Al-Julani Claims Israel Responded to Syria’s Peace Overtures with 1,000 Airstrikes

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Abu Mohammad al-Julani, the self-proclaimed president of Syria, addressed the Doha Summit, accusing Israel of exacerbating regional conflicts and masking the Gaza killings by fabricating security threats.
Al-Julani asserted that Syria has been sending positive signals to bolster regional stability, but Israel has responded with more than 1,000 airstrikes and 400 ground incursions.
He noted that the Syrian government is in communication with influential nations to pressure the occupiers to withdraw from Syrian territory seized after December 8, 2024. He claims that most of these countries agree with this demand and that any agreement must protect Syria’s interests against Israel. According to al-Julani, Israel must adhere to the 1974 disengagement agreement.
Al-Julani, without addressing the internal conflicts and killings within Syria, alleged that Syria is currently in optimal condition.
