Iran is dispatching a trade and technology delegation to Armenia to strengthen export markets and foster technological collaboration between the two nations.

According to the Economic Desk of Webangah News Agency, a trade and technology delegation, supported by the Organization for the Development of Scientific and Technological Cooperation, will travel to Armenia with the goal of enhancing export markets and building technological connections between Iran and Armenia.

The initiative aims to broaden trade interactions, create new opportunities for the presentation of knowledge-based products, negotiate with Armenian economic actors, and identify potential areas for joint cooperation in advanced technologies. Participants will engage in a series of meetings, specialized sessions, and business negotiations designed to facilitate the entry of Iranian technology products into the Armenian market.

As part of this mission, knowledge-based companies will participate in various events and specialized meetings, including a meeting with the Iranian Ambassador to Armenia, business sessions at the Armenian Chamber of Commerce, meetings with the Armenian Trade and Employers Association, joint sessions with technology and innovation associations, and negotiations with Armenian venture capital firms.

Furthermore, a meeting with executives from the Armenian Foreign Investment Support Organization is planned to explore potential collaborations and exchange experiences.

The delegation will focus on companies specializing in medical, dental, laboratory, and cosmetic equipment and supplies that can offer their innovative products to regional markets. Pharmaceutical companies, including those producing raw materials, human pharmaceutical products, and supplements, will also participate.

The technological capabilities of companies in diagnostic and laboratory equipment, rehabilitation equipment, orthopedics, and physiotherapy will also be showcased during the mission. Knowledge-based companies in the food and food products industries, as well as herbal medicine production, will participate as part of the country’s export capacity.

According to the Vice Presidency for Science and Technology, companies specializing in hospital construction, hospital facilities, and operating room design and equipment will have the opportunity to present their capabilities to Armenian counterparts in the health infrastructure sector.

The mission will coincide with a specialized exhibition in Armenia, scheduled from January 19 to January 23, 2025.
