Lebanese MP: ‘We Will Never Kneel’ to Israel Normalization
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Lebanese MP Ali Kharis has stated that Lebanon will never yield to normalization with Israel. He emphasized the committee’s responsibility to halt Israeli attacks on Lebanon and pressure Israel to withdraw from Lebanese territories and release Lebanese prisoners.
Kharis echoed Parliamentary Speaker Nabih Berri’s sentiment that normalization is out of the question. He quoted Imam Musa Sadr, saying, “Lebanon is the country of all of us.”
Kharis stressed the difficult circumstances Lebanon faces and the need to confront plans against the country with resilience and steadfastness. He criticized those who hold views not representative of the Lebanese people, noting that some leaders have no issue with normalizing relations and making peace with Israel.
He declared that Lebanon will not kneel or submit to normalization, as it goes against the nation’s principles. He affirmed Lebanon’s support, stating that Israel is an enemy and an absolute evil, and dealing with it is forbidden.
