Pentagon Proposes $800 Million in Aid to Ukraine in 2026-2027

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the U.S. Congress is set to begin voting this week on a draft of the National Defense Authorization Act, which includes $800 million in aid for Ukraine.
The draft legislation specifies that $400 million will be allocated each year in 2026 and 2027 to provide military and security assistance to Ukraine.
Additionally, the document stipulates that the U.S. Secretary of Defense must submit a formal report to both the House of Representatives and the Senate if there is any suspension or temporary cessation of intelligence data transfers to Ukraine.
The bill emerges as the U.S. seeks to conclude the conflict in Ukraine, even if it means ceding territory. Territorial disputes continue to impede the progress of peace negotiations between Kyiv and Moscow.
Donald Trump, the current President of the United States, previously stated that ceding a portion of Ukrainian territory to Russia in exchange for a ceasefire would be a fair deal, considering Moscow’s potential to seize the entirety of Ukraine.
