Trump Claims Russia Agrees with US Plan for Ukraine

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Donald Trump, the current President of the United States, told reporters at the John F. Kennedy Center that he believes Russia has no problem with the proposed plan to resolve the issue in Ukraine.
These statements come after Washington presented a 28-point plan in November to end the conflict in Ukraine. However, the plan was met with dissatisfaction from Kyiv and some European partners, who called for a comprehensive revision of its provisions. On November 23, American and Ukrainian delegations held negotiations in Geneva, focusing on amending the plan.
Trump later announced that the initial version of the peace plan had been altered, incorporating views from both Moscow and Kyiv to a significant extent. He mentioned that the number of points in the plan had been reduced from 28 to 22, with only a few contentious issues remaining.
This development occurred a week after a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin, US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, and Trump’s son-in-law and political advisor, Jared Kushner, in the Kremlin. The discussion, which lasted about five hours, centered on four documents related to the US peace plan.
Yuri Ushakov, an aide to the Russian President, described the atmosphere of the negotiations as “constructive and useful,” stating that the two sides discussed the details of Washington’s proposals for resolving the Ukrainian crisis.
