Gaza Health Ministry Warns of Deepening Humanitarian Crisis Amid Severe Medicine Shortages

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a statement from the Gaza Health Ministry reveals a dire situation as medicine and medical supply shortages intensify the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
The ministry’s statement, originally reported by the Palestinian Shahab News Agency, underscores the severe lack of essential pharmaceuticals and medical consumables, noting that 52% of essential medicines, 71% of medical consumables, and 70% of laboratory supplies are entirely unavailable in Gaza.
The shortages are causing a significant increase in demand for medical interventions for the wounded and sick, leading to a worsening crisis.
Primary care, surgical procedures, operations, intensive care, cancer treatment, and hematology services are among the areas suffering from acute medication shortages.
Orthopedic surgery, kidney and dialysis departments, ophthalmology, general surgery, and intensive care units also face catastrophic challenges due to the scarcity of medical consumables.
The Gaza Health Ministry has urgently appealed for increased medical assistance to empower medical staff in specialized departments to cope with the escalating crisis.
