Israel Approves 5-Year Plan for West Bank Settlement Expansion

The Israeli Finance Minister, Bezalel Smotrich, has reportedly allocated 2.7 billion shekels for the construction of 17 new settlements in the West Bank over the next five years, according to reports.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Israeli regime is reportedly advancing a five-year plan to expand settlements in the West Bank. Citing Al Jazeera, Yedioth Ahronoth reported that Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich has allocated 2.7 billion shekels for the construction of 17 new settlements in the West Bank.

The settlements are slated to be built over the next five years. This action follows earlier reports that the Israeli regime has intensified its efforts to displace the original inhabitants of the West Bank.

The forced displacement of residents from various cities and areas of the West Bank is being overseen directly by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as part of a broader plan to expand occupied territories. Israeli forces have been working for years to sever communication routes within the West Bank through settlement expansion.
