Russia Claims Destruction of Ukrainian Command Center, Intercepts Dozens of Drones

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced the destruction of a Ukrainian command center in the Kupyansk region and the interception of 67 Ukrainian drones overnight, escalating tensions in the ongoing conflict.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Russian military has reportedly destroyed a Ukrainian armed forces command center in the Kupyansk direction, according to a statement released by the Russian Ministry of Defense. The ministry also claimed its air defenses intercepted 67 Ukrainian drones overnight.

The statement detailed that the destruction of the concealed enemy command center in the forest area was achieved using 152-millimeter artillery fire and long-range explosive rounds.

Units of the Russian “West” group forces have been actively engaged since the start of the military operation in neutralizing Ukrainian armed forces infantry, command centers, artillery, and observation posts, as well as providing support to offensive units, according to the Russian Defense Ministry.

Earlier, Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov stated that Russian forces are advancing in the Kupyansk direction.

The ministry further added that its air defense systems intercepted and destroyed the Ukrainian drones over several Russian provinces during the night.
